Meet Kari Guest Blogger & Nursing Pad reviewer
"Hi I'm Kari - working mom of 2. I nursed my son until he was 1 and I'm on my way to nursing my daughter for the same (she's 4 months old). I started off using disposable nursing pads until I found cotton reusable ones. They were good but they stuck to me unless I was using lanolin and I couldn't wear them overnight. I'm a rockerbyebaby fan and when I saw their version I had to try. Oh how I wish I found these sooner! They barely stick even without lanolin, I can wear them overnight, and the more I wash them the better they get! When I first saw them I thought these are too big but they fit discretely in my bra and are so more fashionable then the boring beige cotton ones. I now become bummed out when they are in the wash! Give them a try you won't regret it."
Spice up your Baby Carrier!
With my new found love of Tula's - I jumped into making suck pads. I literally HATE that they are called Suck Pads... so if anyone else has a clever name for them, feel free to share it with me. If you're not sure about what Im describing, here ya go. They are basically covers that wrap around your SSC straps. Teething babies tend to suck and chew here, sometimes even chomping a hole right through the strap. In other cases its just lots of slobber and makes it easier to just toss these in the wash instead of washing the whole carrier. They have a print on one side, minky on the other, batting inside ribbons at the bottom for texture and sensory play, and full velcro strips to keep them closed completely (snaps often pop open, I think just to annoy me ;)
Here are a few examples of recent ones we've made...

Nuby Review: Easy Clean Soap Dispensing Bottle Brush
Holy buckets, have I ever been a failure at the blog. RockerByeBaby has been SO SO SO busy. I have about 500 pictures to filter, edit and list... countless emails to sort. BUT! I am here now, and that is what matters, right? Sure, lol Back with a vengeance with a weeks worth of posts AND kicking it off with a Nuby review.
Recently Nuby sent me the Easy Clean Soap Dispensing Bottle Brush. This. Thing. Is. Rad. We're kinda out of the bottle stage around here so it has been used to clean all our awesome Nuby Sippy cups... *and yes, some of my coffee cups too - FRESH POTS*

You fill it up with soap... screw it together... then push the button to dispense the soap from the top. It's that simple. It makes cleaning bottles and sippy cups super easy. And when you're done, it suctions to the counter by the bottom so it stands up.
Want your own? Duh, of course you do!
Walmart.com sells them in 2 packs for $8 in both girl packs and boy packs.

Gluten Free Kids!
We tried awhile back and here we are again giving it another go. 100% super strict gluten free for Zavery. We are having some pretty dramatic emotional issues in school and it is really time to start cracking down to find some solutions. He also has speech issues - so step one was to set an appointment with the ENT doctor. That is the first week of April. While we wait we decided to try gluten free again. Eventually we want to switch all the kids over to GF... seems like it will make life a lot easier. The first couple days were great and it seemed we (and his teacher) noticed a chance within 24/48 hours. Then today we had a rough day... but he DID eat some (non GF) chips at a friends house last night - so I can't help but wonder if that contributed to his behavior. I find it crazy that it could make him react so quickly - but the connection seems obvious. If any of you have any input, suggestions, favorite GF kids snacks or recipes - I would LOVE for you to weigh in! I plan to be posting lots of them here to the blog. I am really new to GF so feel free to share any experiences!
