Nuby Oral Care Set Review

Opening this package from Nuby got Ms. Rozzlyn pretty excited. I have to say, it may have just graduated to her favorite Nuby item. Because above all other things - Rozzlyn LOVES to brush her teeth. The Nuby Oral Care Set is great for newborns - toddlers offering 4 stages for proper dental hygiene.

"Stage 1: Soft silicone brush that fits on your finger for newborn gums.
Stage 2: Soft gum massager for those first teeth.
Stage 3: Soft brush to help clean and massage older babies teeth and gums.
Stage 4: Soft bristle brush for those older baby and toddler teeth."

Rozzlyn likes to use Stages 2 and 3 to chew on when her teeth are hurting as they come in. And when its time to really brush, we use Stage 4 with a little toddler safe toothpaste.

I love the shape of the brushes. They are great for little hands and easy for her to hold on to. The silicone grip makes it so that she doesn't drop it if her hands get wet, and the pink and lime green colors are adorable! She would probably sit and brush her teeth for hours if I would let her! I am so thankful to have a kid that loves brushing her teeth - and Nuby's new Oral Care Set makes it so easy. I also heard that they have a new toddler toothpaste out!! I will have to get my hands on some and try it out with our new brushes!

You can get your hands on your own set a Baby Depot in Burlington.

Wow! That's a lot of bedding.

I've spent pretty much all night editing photos of past bedding sets. It is so wild to me to think of all the babies snuggled in my bedding over the years. Looking back at the photos makes me extra thankful for all I am able to do. Thanks to all of you that have been so supportive! So just for fun... a peek at some of my MANY MANY favorites.

Help Me Help Her! Cancer Fighting Mama...

Around here, we're kinda getting sick of Cancer... (no pun intended) I mean, Im really just over it... A very good friend of mine has been kicking breast cancers butt, yet the hits just keep coming. After chemo, radiation & a double mastectomy - we thought we were in the clear... then it came back... back to chemo and radiation and now blood transfusions, too. She is EXHAUSTED. This woman is literally my hero... no matter how stressed, tired, sick, and in pain she is - you would never know it. She takes care of her three kids with her super hero cape flapping in the wind behind her. Super low blood counts and begging to go back to work... *Or like the photo - walking in the Mother Day Breast Cancer Walk* But, lately - she has been talking about relaxing on a mini trip... and ya know what? When a mom that doesn't ask for help asks for help - you drop what you're doing and you find a way to help... So that's why I am here... I want to raise as much as I can so our friend Kat and I can give her a break. Maybe a night or two in a local fancy hotel with a massage and pedicure... maybe a short week on the beach in between treatments if you guys are feeling really helpful! If there is anyone in the world that deserves it - its this mama, I promise you. If everyone would donate just a couple dollars we could give her such an amazing trip that she has more than earned. Doctors orders are to rest and relax - and this seems like the perfect way to be sure she does that. Anything left over will be given to her and her family to use towards her medical bills. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and thanks in advance for your selflessness and generosity.

Almost forgot the biggest milestone!

I almost forgot yesterday, our most proud milestone... we have made it to our goal of 6 months breastfeeding. It hasn't always been easy... but I was NOT willing to give up. Over the last 6 months some days it was exhausting (growth spurts) and some days rewarding... Some days I was overflowing with milk (thanks MMP and lactation cookies) and other days I felt like I had nothing... I am a HORRIBLE pumper... and what most people can pump in a sitting sometimes takes me 2 or 3 sessions just to get 5 ounces worth... but through all of this we kept going... and here we are - at our goal and still going strong.  I feel like it should be smooth sailing from here... *knock on wood* next goal... ONE YEAR!
